SIECCAN received its first unrestricted resource development grant from the Trojan Sexual Health Division, Church & Dwight Canada in 2006-2007. This was a major turning point for SIECCAN in that it gave us greater security and flexibility to accept and pursue novel labour-intensive resource development and research opportunities in Canada and internationally. This annual support has helped to raise the profile of SIECCAN, to increase the impact of The Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality, and to foster our mandate. Renewal of this support for 2012-2013 continues a productive collegial association that includes:

  • co-sponsorship of The Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality (CJHS);
  • collaborative resource dissemination projects that have seen several thousand reprints of articles from different issues of CJHS distributed to educators and health professionals across Canada;
  • support for SIECCAN's core activities and flexibility to accept resource development opportunities such as SIECCAN's major role in creation of "Sexual Health for the Millenium: A Declaration and Technical Document" in collaboration with the World Association of Sexual Health (WAS) (see http://www.worldsexology.org).
  • sexual health content development for accessible public education initiatives (www.weknowsex.ca)
