Consultation Summary Report

Consent education can help reduce victim blaming, sexist attitudes, and sexual violence while also improving communication skills and promoting gender-equitable attitudes (Goldfarb & Lieberman, 2020) However, the extent to which youth receive consent education varies across Canada (Robinson et al., 2019), and health service providers often receive little pre-service training in this area The current project, Increasing Capacity to Provide Effective Consent Education, aims to equip health service providers1 with the tools to deliver effective consent education to boys/ young men and Autistic youth. This report focuses specifically on Autistic youth and the health service providers who support them
